    Hail
May the good Lord bless you as he has blessed me with this blog.

This is what I'm always trying to tell people when it comes to Native issues, and they just don't seem to get it. Esp. feeling any type of way about a situation or being met with anger is better than being harassed at a protest or even killed! Thank you for being brave enough to post this, and I certainly hope it doesn't get you in trouble.

Looove this blog. Just gonna add some extra for the people in the comments.

    FOR EVERYONE REMAINING NEUTRAL:

Neutrality benefits the oppressor. By not speaking out, you are taking Darren Wilson's side.

Imagine (and it won't be very hard to)- a young black boy is about to be killed. In the situation, the protestors are the ones interrupting to try and stop the murder taking place. The one's supporting Wilson are the ones chanting for the man to shoot and holding the protesters back. And you, the neutral? You're standing there, watching. Letting it happen.

Also: Here's a helpful resource. It's about white privilege and why you cannot be racist to white people. You just plain can't. You can discriminate and be prejudiced against them, however. I recommend anyone who is white read this, it personally helped me understand a lot.

No one should ever be told something like that and I'm sorry it happened to you. I'm sorry it's happened to anyone who's ever been the victims of hatred and violence even in the slightest. And I get that you're annoyed with the whole POC thing because I'm pretty sure everyone one is. Everyone deserves to be celebrated for their race and that's what people are protesting for. Truth is you don't have it easy because you're but you definitely have it easier. Odds are you're never wished you weren't white. I know you've been hurt by prejudice too but this movement is not about your color, it's not your time to shine, it's your time to amplify the voices of those who aren't easily heard. Also, I'd love to see some pictures of your protesting :)

    @ wonderyear?

I don't see how wishing his family the justice they want and need is not supportive, I get their angry, but I'm angry too (what happened wasnt right), Apparently I -and my family - should be shot cause we're white (which is dumb, considering my daughter is not white but okay...). How does that solve anything? I just wish that the ones expressing their anger would do it constructively ya'know? I'm not saying it's worse, I'm just mentioning that it's kinda stupid how far it's getting (some people of course, the majority are excellent and understand). I'm kinda hoping someone does a scholarship in his name, that would be nice.

[and I'm just annoyed in general about the entire thing. I hate that people assume that because I'm white I have it easy - The area I live in, I got beat up almost every day because I was white in a 'POC Neighbourhood' - So I do know what it's like to feel judged by your skin colour, although not to the same extent of course, obviously. Im hoping to get down to our local protest anyway, I need to take some pictures for you Mibba Peepz and see that we stand with you]

Well maybe you were just dealing with some really angry people. Maybe your idea of support wasn't the same as theirs. I'm sorry that happened, but I assure you being told off by some pissed off person in the internet because you're white is better than being shot and killed because you're black. You probably won't even remember it in a few years. Honestly, no hard feelings but these people are livid and don't have to accept it. In my opinion, they have every right not to. But I urge you continue to outwardly show your support even if some people don't want accept it. I accept it. Those people who don't accept your support don't speak for all of us who do.

Whilst I agree with most, I have to say, I tried to be nice and supportive and got told some pretty horrid things because I'm white. Some people are misplacing anger and just taking it out on those who are siding with them, which isnt helpful at all.
