The only job I've had was being a sound tech for a dance recital but I only got that job in the first place because it was with my former dance teacher. It's not just job site ads I've looked at. I've gone to some stores and they tell me I have to apply online and that's usually the result I end up with. Sure a couple of them have had applications at the stores or places I've gone but a majority of the time, I either never hear back, or I'll call or go back in to ask about things within maybe a few days after only to find out they hired someone else. I've never even been interviewed once. You're right though, how is anyone supposed to get a job with little or no experience or no qualifications. It would be easier for me to go look if I had my license and could drive but I haven't even been able to do that which is half the reason I end up applying online in the first place.

I do appreciate your advice and everything Hug I'm just not really sure how I'm supposed to go about it if I'm stuck at home all the time :/

Aww I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Sad I was in a similar position which actually spiralled me down into depression, but I was lucky to find a hotel job amongst other events which snapped me out of it. Before this, my responses to job ads were ignored or I went to interviews but was unsuccessful/realised that the job actually wasn't going to work out for me after all. Just feels like you're putting in all this effort and time yet receiving nothing in return. It really is a vicious, vicious cycle and it pisses me off so much. How can we get an internship if we're not studying...how can we get an apprenticeship if we don't have the experience...how can we get a job if we don't have the correct experience and/or qualifications? It really is just...horrible spending day by day searching job ads one by one - some don't even mention important things like the rough estimate of the salary, where it is, what experience it is and that really makes my blood boil. I feel for you, I really do. Hug

If it's any consolation, I totally understand why you feel so shit. You're right in that it really doesn't help when the people who care for you start to nag and such - I guess they become as frustrated and disappointed as us when we fail to get a job. The only thing I know and thus can recommend is to keep hoping that a job will pop up that will be prepared to train you up to the job. I was trained into a hotel maid, and I know of a friend who was trained into a care worker for the elderly - no specific qualifications or experience needed. We both drive to work, but most employees where I work do cycle in or live in at the hotel. I strongly suggest spending most of your time looking at local official company website job sections instead of those fucking irritating job site ads which are usually not created by the direct employer themselves.

Wishing you the BEST of the luck from afar! Keep trying, even though there must be times when you really just want to give up. Hug
