I'm glad amsterdam was not just drugs and whores for you. I hate my country being reflected on only by that, we have so much more to offer.

i've never understood why this is, but there is usually an inequality to the emotion of failed relationships. sometimes people can go on for years as if everything is working, but it goes tits up in the end. honestly there's nothing to it. it sounds like you might have been too into it for her. people are like that sometimes. a lot of the time. they find it uncomfortable because they're not the kind of people that can easily feel comfortable with someone else's emotions. it takes a certain kind of person for everybody to feel right. sometimes you feel more right than the other one does. it happens. you just have to keep going at it, if you'd like. meet other people. live a happier life for it, anyway. you don't want to be with someone that feels less than half of what you do.
