hahaha it does sound strange and it does seem all over the place once you start reading because of the pacing and the backwards-ness but it's good I promise! there's a part/plot line in it that actually reminds me of Invisible Monsters...if you read it you'll probably know what I'm talking about!!

Unfortunately the only good books I know are series based well except for Right Behind You.

Would you like to hear them anyway for when you are ready to commit?

When you are from shortest to longest.

    Chaos Walking: 3 books

The Knife of Never Letting Go

    The Ask and the Answer

    Monsters of Men

    Wicked Lovely: 5 books

    Wicked Lovely

    Ink Exchange

    Fragile Eternity

    Radiant Shadows

    Darkest Mercy

There are other books but they aren't really important to the plot now let me warn you Ink Exchange and Radiant Shadows are not sequels they are companion books and they'll claim you can skip them but don't believe it, if you skip them I promise you will be confused.

    Demonata: 10 books

    Lord Loss

    Demon Thief

    Slawter

    Bec

    Blood Beast

    Demon Apocalypse

    Death's Shadow

    Wolf Island

    Dark Calling

    Hell's Heroes

Sorry I know you said no series but just posting them won't hurt.

Otherwise I guess I could recommend my two stories or any stories on any of my recommendation blogs

    I'm almost finished with Wolf in White Van by John Darnielle, the lead singer and lyricist of The Mountain Goats!! I really like it, its pacing reminds me a lot of Chuck Palahniuk in the way that the story is kind of told backwards. I think you might like it :~}

I'm currently reading Zombie Apocolypse: Horror Hospital by Mark Morris, it's a good read :) This might give you a better look at what it's all about :)

I hope you end up liking it; the chapters aren't too lengthy so for me it's easy to put down and pick back up again.

    Thumb up No problem.

I finally got an App Store/iTunes gift card so I could purchase Don't Sleep With Your Drummer by Jen Sincero and I already really like it despite being a few chapters in.

I mean really, one of the quotes in here is this:
I guess it's because our lifelong goal is to win our parents' approval, like it or not. Especially when getting their approval is like getting struck by lightning: shocking enough to kill and highly unlikely ever to happen.

It seriously makes me want to finish this book ASAP since it's officially the weekend for me. Tongue
