Trigger warnings are definitely important, when placed appropriately. So I agree with that a thousand percent. However, I have personally found this blog to be condescending. So, if you're trying to make a point or convince or guide people, it should probably be written in a more positive light? Nobody likes to be looked down upon, and by writing in this tone it may not be taken very well by your target audience.

There's a huge difference between being uncomfortable and triggered, the problem is people these days confuse the two.

I agree with this! So bless your post but I do agree with Pavi Largo that some people might be triggered by death so that should be noted as a warning though but other than that, this entire blog spoke the truth though I put all the right warnings and tags anyways...

Hugs and Kisses (unless you're triggered by those), Damien.
    HAHAHAHAHAHA YOU'RE GREAT

also yes, this blog is all kinds of yes up in here. Especially when the triggers are so minor, like trigger warning: gay men. How is that a trigger? You're (general you) just being homophobic??

@Phoebe Buffay I said it bluntly. As nice as I could. How you and anyone else takes it is entirely up to you. I'm responsible for the words but not for what you think of them.

I do agree with you on most of this. The fact that so many people are quick to claim 'TRIGGERED' when something simply makes them uncomfortable is appalling. However, the one thing I do definitely disagree with is the death bit. There are some people that know they're going to die and they do accept it, however they might've lost a loved one and the mere thought of it could send one into a panic attack. When I was a junior in high school, I lost someone very close to me to suicide. The mention of both suicide and (for awhile) death would send me into a panic attack. A lot of work on myself has made me able to get over that, but for some people it's not that easy.

As I said, I do agree with you on the vast majority of this. I've had people on other sites ask me to tag my gay fiction claiming it was triggering for them to read. People need to stop throwing around the fact that they're 'triggered' as a way to mask their blatant homophobia or racism.

I feel like this was taken too far. I'm not being sensitive about it, but there's a nicer way to address things.
