    Reminds me of a time when I was doing data entry for a company and I accidentally somehow exited the Excel window without saving about two hours of data entry.

    File > Open > Recent Documents > Recover unsaved documents
    or
    File > Info > Manage Versions > Recover unsaved documents

    You can always consult Google though. I don't really remember all of the steps, sorry Sad

    This never happened to me with school because I was kind of crazy about saving my work every few minutes. Seriously, I'd open a new document, MLA format it, and immediately save it

    What I try to do is either use Google Docs which will auto save your work. Or with Word, just save the document before you start writing, then try to save it every so often in case that does happen.
