I actually have an article I wrote that's tips for new college students if you want to read it! It's not posted on here but I can post it in a blog!

edit: I wrote it a year ago so I just updated it and posted it. If you're interested you can read it here: 45 Tips for Incoming College Freshmen. There's specific tips for commuters in there too, but some of the other stuff should apply to you as well! I hope it helps! :)

I have a few clubs I want to get involved in, namely the international club. I'm gonna see about going abroad, too. And I will be spending a lot of time at the gym, too. There's also a recreation spot for commuting students. Thankfully, a lot of the people I just graduated with will be going there, too.

I've also already made friends with a girl who will be living on campus. :)

    Any tips for me?

Commuting is a completely different experience. I commuted for a semester so I could buy a car of my own. What I'll say about it is that you really need to make friends in your classes and be connected to the college. You won't be living there, so you won't have an easy way to spend much time with people out of class.

It can feel like you're not connecting to college the same way everyone else is, but if you make an effort to join a group/club or spend time with friends outside of class, you'll find your niche on campus.

That's a pretty good distance. That's why I chose mine. I can spend a lot of time on campus, but still be home.

I'll be commuting. It was the cheaper option, and like I said, I can be home when needed.

It's about 45 minutes! It's the closest of the schools I applied to. It's not too bad but lets me have space too. :) Are you living on campus?

Sounds like a good school. Are you far from home or close by? My school is only about 20 minutes away.

Congrats! I'm going to be a college junior this year and I'm also an English Major with a writing focus. My minor is journalism and I love it. You should consider it as a minor if you're interested in both!

Where are you going to college?
