Firstly find a topic you're interested in. If you're interested in history, find a sub-topic you're interested in and then focus on a specific topic and start looking up the infomation regarding that topic. It works best to work out what you want each paragraph to talk about before you start writing. You've got to make sure that each paragraph, although on about a different part of the topic, flows together nicely.

Secondly articles can have both opinion and facts, although to have opinions you have to start them with facts (or back them up with facts) and can't make them sweeping, generalised opinions otherwise it can throw off the entire article. Make sure the opinions are subtle and don't present to be a fact - that's what some people do wrong. They present opinions as if they're a fact and that's definitely a sure way to spoil an article.

Finally make sure you write about both sides of a topic, so the for and against that would be in an essay. It makes it far more balanced and less biased, allowing readers to see both sides without it sounding like you're pushing an agenda or opinion onto them. It's good to appeal to readers on both sides and an unbiased one does just that.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! Cute

    Dear Tipsy,

The king deplores all articles made up. Articles, he insists, must be full of information- facts, data, names. As Knights on an investigation we focus on these. Our reports for the King must includ - who, what, where, when, why and even how.

This method allows for the clearest digestion of a piece of writing by the reader. Not that the king needs help writing. It is just a concise matter of fact method of sharing news, events and summaries of people.

Look to the Internet for "writing a news article" "template for articles" and that should help. Also, picking up a newspaper is good for the form to use. We hope you all the best.

    Yours dramatically,

    The Knights of Commenting
