    @ PoeticMess.
I salute writers who go all out on their novels. I'll try brainstorming too and see where that gets me, thanks.

I read a lot when I'm not feeling it. Whether it be novels or other stories on Mibba. Something else I tend to do is skip ahead in the story. If I'm stuck on one particular scene and just don't feel like writing it, I'll jump to a different point in the story and write that out. It might not actually make it into the story, but it helps get me thinking about where the story's going and what I want to bring into the next part.

I've definitely felt like I've "outgrown" writing at times too. But sometimes you just get bored with things for awhile.

I also have multiple stories going at a time, so I'll jump between them. I like to jot down all the ideas I can think of for my stories and then piece them together later one. Honestly, brainstorming does help tons.

Thanks, I'll try that. I was starting to think that maybe I've outgrown my writing phase and need to move on. Cry

You aren't the only one, love. I've gone through phases like that and I don't doubt many other writers do as well. What I do is simply take a break from writing. I do things that sometimes inspire me like read books or watch movies. Sometimes it's best to scrap what you have and find a different idea that you truly enjoy writing in that moment.

Or if you can't find the heart to scrap something, write a scene of that story and then write the same scene in a different way just to get the creative process going.

There are tons of other ways to find motivation and inspiration. Those are just a few of mine.

Don't worry about it too much! You'll get out of the rut eventually Hug
