I haven't played any of the new ones. I wasn't sure if I should or not because I'm so nastoligic when it comes to the old games and I feel the new ones have too many new pokemons. I enjoy aloe original Pokémon you started with. I've tried Omega but I haven't finished it yet because I've lost interest. Maybe I'll get back into it. *shrug* I know I play Red over and over and over no matter how old it looks. I loved this Pokémon version above them all :D

I haven't finished Moon yet, I'm maybe halfway through (maybe less, I can't quite tell, lol) so I'm not going to read past the first sentence of this so I don't spoil something for myself!

But I did want to say that I stopped playing as frequently because I just...I got bored. I've never, ever, EVER been bored of a Pokemon game! I don't know if you'll recall this exact point where I stopped, but it's right as that girl with black hair and a purple outfit that always walks around with her Mudsdale. I left a Pokemon Center (I think) and she came up to me for maybe the second or third time. I don't remember what she said, but that's where I stopped and haven't picked it back up in a few weeks...

    There's just so. Much. Talking.

I feel like this game is just one very long, drawn out story being told in all the worst ways. There's dialogue with no action. You know what I mean? Every time there's a "cut scene", I literally roll my eyes and hardly read any of the text. It just annoys me because they're always so long and unnecessary! At least they feel that way.

I do truly want to finish it at some point, but...not right now, lol.

I agree on how long the intro took. It's too much clicking! I get easily bored, so I've often been multi-tasking when I know I have to do something which involves lots of cut scenes (i.e. watching a TV show on my laptop).

Cool to hear that you chose Rowlet too. tehe Have you seen its shiny version?

I love the grooming feature too, and it's fantastic that we no longer have to rush a poisoned Pokemon to the HC.

Each to their own, of course, but I'd just like to let you know that I felt the same way about the game when I was fairly new to it, but as it progressed I enjoyed it more and more. I hope the same happens for you!

When you eventually defeat the Champion, let the end credits play all the way through so that it'll save your game and then do some googling for things you can do post-game, because it's certainly not the end once you've defeated the Champion! Wink

I feel the same way. My little cousin let me borrow her copy of Pokemon Moon, and the game definitely doesn't feel like a Pokemon game, at least not much. And as far as getting male starters, especially popplio, I've been getting nothing, but female starters... Well, during my last two playthroughs and current playthrough I got all female starters.
