Yes my first was a miscarriage and then a few months later I was pregnant with my daughter. I didn't know that was a common thing but hopefully that doesn't happen!

No they didn't, it's not open very much so I don't have too many restrictions other than bedrest and a strict no caffeine rule. I'm still within 7 weeks so I'm not very far along at all which is terrifying. Everyone keeps telling me it's okay if you miscarry since it's apparently common with first child, but it took us a long time to get pregnant so I don't want anything to go wrong.

I'm not sure if that's what my friend has but like her body literally cannot carry her babies to full term anymore. She was just told that her body was also already acting like it was going to miscarry and her doctor said they can only pray she's able to keep the baby in until 26 weeks so it has a chance for survival. Definitely take the bed rest seriously and try not to strain yourself too much. I too just got home from the hospital, I'm 33 weeks so it'll be a bit safer if my little one comes but they said that he was ready and my body wasn't so they stopped my contractions and said for me to come in again if he starts pushing down and causing contractions again. Did they tell you whether or not your cervix will eventually close back up?

Glad to hear you're okay. Halfway through your blog entry I was starting to get scared for you. Hopefully this will be the last terrifying experience for you while pregnant.
