I hosted for a while and it wasn't as taxing physically, but people are so much worse when they're waiting for a table. Impatient and hungry, they can be super rude. But up front, it's not nearly as much walking. I used to get sick during the winter because we have to hold the door open for everyone and no one else would do it.

Thank you, though! I cut him off of everything and I actually talked to my boss (who also happens to be his stepdad) about how aggressive he's been getting just so that he knows if my ex comes up here and starts trying to talk mess, I'm not gonna take it. Hopefully, that didn't make the situation worse.

The Krav Maga is super cool but pretty challenging! I sweat pretty hard every time, but it's very empowering. I've never learned any type of fighting, so this is really new to me.

i know exactly how frustrating the restaurant industry can be! (i used to be a hostess) but trust me, effort doesn't betray you. i also worked long hours on the weekend and had to stand the whole time out in the cold during winter, but that time was the period where i wrote the most. i got into observing a lot, especially on the quiet days. try it out! i know being a waitress that becomes harder, but i think you have even more opportunities for writing inspiration since you're constantly interacting with people. btw, you deserve more than somebody who speaks to you in such a disrespectful manner! i've always wanted to do krav maga, oh my worrrd! but yes, it's so expensive. :( sending you all my love. xx
