One of the toughest lessons of life: you can't change people. No matter what you do, no matter the sacrifice. You can inspire them to choose to change, but that's something that they do all on their own. I know you love him so much, you're enduring so much for him. But to quote one of the greatest fictional people ever: "He is not the sun, you are." (Cristina Yang, Grey's Anatomy). Never lose yourself for the sake of someone else.
