Sharing is Caring (Unless You're Me). - Comments

I cannot express just how right that sentiment is. Today, it's a little easier because I don't have these customers in my lap, but I still can't find it in me to care. I don't know if I'm broken, but whatever.

  • I understand you so no worries. Have to think about a complete strangers problems is a big nuisance, especially when you have things of your own to worry about.

I just get so freaked out by people who unload everything on me when I'm only with them for a few moments of their day. I get... so exhausted from it by the end of the day and I wonder why I do the job I do.

I completely agree that there's a huge difference between the care you give your friends and strangers. But I just... can't, with strangers. I don't know what it is. And it's not like these people are strangers, I see some of them every day. But I still don't care about that thing you did four years ago when I literally only asked you what you're doing today because I'm obliged to. (Not you, personally; you, as the greater population.)

  • Personally I think it's a huge difference in caring about the problems of a stranger versus caring about your loved ones. With strangers, unless you're planning on making friends with them or if you happen to get to know them or something, you most likely may not know how toe react to them whereas with a loved one, you understand them a lot more and you care about them in a different way? I believe that's how it is.

  • To be honest I never care what the f*k comes out a customers mouths. I hate how personal some customers get. It's a job, and I'm not there to make friends/buddy-buddy with my customers.

I'm not sure if that answers your question or not. Shifty But I totally understand about not caring, and not wanting to ask customers how they are doing.
