@ opulence Imgur seems to be working out well. Photobucket was always kind of a hassle. I think because there's so much clutter on the site, it was always kind of laggy and stuff. Glad to be done w/ it.
@ Lady.V. I'm using Imgur, but when I attempted to copy my photos by direct link, it gave me the same picture telling me to update. Luckily, I saved a lot of the banners and stuff.
I was using photopucket for everything that had to do with mibba graphics and layouts. Do you happen to know an alternative for it where I can copy direct links and create separate albums?
Tinypic is a free image hosting site I have used for all my layouts for years, it is a website where you upload a photo and are given links for various uses. Imgur.com is a photobucket alternative if you're looking for something you can make an account on with different albums and such! I was never a photobucket fan.
I had to stop using Photobucket a long time ago because it was such a pain to deal with. I also couldn't share images anymore without linking people directly to my albums and things I wanted to keep private (like my username). If I want to share a picture with someone, I don't want them to be able to access pictures of my child or my family. Even though the account was private, it still gave people more information than I was comfortable with. So I had to move to another site too. :/
@ AliMeansWings It wouldn't let me delete my photobucket account. I tried and left a comment, but the delete account button was never clickable. It sucks.
Some people think Photobucket was hacked or had a virus put onto their site but if the virus rumor was true, we'd be getting warnings about the site being full of viruses and malware.
It's so dumb. Most people, I feel, aren't going to use photobucket anymore since it's that expensive just to get our photos back. It's stupid. I put everything on Imgur, so now I don't worry about photobucket anymore.
@ Shatterheart FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!? I didn't even look that far into it. I just knew I wasn't paying. But definitely not that much.
Luckily, Photobucket was glitching a couple of months ago and I moved a lot of my stuff to ImageShack. They didn't tell me that it's only free for a limited time. So the photos I used from there are still good, I just can't upload any more of them.
