I usually have 3 people who's opinions I know and trust review it for me after I edit the first copy. One of the people is probably one of my biggest critics, so he's the most likely to pick up on something if it's wrong.
Who am I kidding, I'm probably my biggest critic! Haha. It's just that I've been away for so long and I'm nervous about how it sounds. Some parts I'm just like "I'm using too many filler words. I can feel it. This is how I talk, but not how it should sound." But, I'm trying not to redo anything just yet.

  • Maybe you could get some second opinions on excerpts or ideas from someone. Maybe have someone look over a chapter or two that you're doubtful about and see what they have to say to make it better. It never hurts to get other people to look at your work.
