    I think u r misunderstanding what I'm saying.

All I'm saying is nowadays its so hard to get noticed. Between video games and ebooks that anyone can write no one really sits back with a paperback/hard cover anymore.

Dont get me wrong. I have my own little fan base out side of mibba.

All I'm saying is getting excited about feedback, then not getting any is a bit of a let down.

I met the author Sharon M. Draper back in grade school. She was asked what advice did she have for aspiring young authors. She said "dont give up. There r going to be times where you want to do nothing but and everything you write is going to sound wrong . keep at it. The more you write the better you get. In time it'll come together. "

That's my point. At some point all writers want to quite. It just so happens that this time is because of lack of feedback

Honestly, Mibba is a FRACTION of the total population that might read your book someday. Nobody gets any feedback on here because the site is so small nowadays. You really have to rep your own writing every where. I don't really get comments either, but I put my book out there. It's word-of-mouth that really garners any attention for it.

Exactly. That feeling is so....i cant think of the right word for it, but it brings about lack of motivation, self doubt and more. That's what takes me so long to write and post now. I feel like I'm screaming out and yet I'm still not being heard. It's suffocating.

I really feel you. Mibba has been quite dead and my fandom isn't big here so I get it that I won't have feedback here. But on Tumblr, it really gets to me that I never go past 100 notes on my stories (if I'm icredibly lucky). Yeah sure, you should write for yourself but the thing is, if you feel like nobody's listening you don't have motivation to keep speaking. Writing a piece only to see it get so little attention feels like you're a singer onstage and everyone is listening to their own music on their mp3 players instead of listening to what you're singing.

Exactly. Like o get writing is suppose to be for me, but if i want this to be a career i have to realize that i write for the readers. Lack of readers makes you want to quit sometimes .

Honestly, I feel the same. The lack of feedback my stories get in every single platform is really discouraging. I feel like I'm writing for no one.

Don't get me wring I enjoy when I write. I be excited. It's just the moment when I get ready to post that the doubt sets in. Writing is and has always been my passion. The writing itself is the most fun and relaxing thing I can do. It's just putting it out there and posting on sites that brings about the negative feelings and all those questions.

I just want to say right off the bat that this should be fun for you! It should be about what you like to read, what you like to write, etc. I know we all want readers and subs so bad (me included), but when you start worrying more about what potential readers might like, then it becomes really difficult to enjoy what you're writing. As for worrying about if you're good enough. I think every single writer on the planet (especially up-and-coming writers) worry about this 24/7. Being a writer isn't easy - it's one of the most competitive jobs in the world, but you can only ever get better by writing and continuing on.

Just keep writing to the best of your ability, enjoy it, and it'll get easier. :)
