weirdly haven't gotten any lag, but i did get that spam message! such a small community, it sucks that spammers are trying to overtake it .___.

What Ghoul Scouts says helps too but before changing browsers, try and see if the mobile site will work for you first.ANd if it doesn't then change to firefox.

I had a lot of issues too. Try the following:
Cleaning out cookies/cache
Uninstall/reinstall your mains internet browser
Change internet browsers all together(that's what I did to finally get mibba to work)
