Languages - Comments

I have this soft spot for languages so I love learning or hearing others about about it

For me, I’m only proficient with English and a little bit of Ilocano and I can get by with a little Tagalog. In high school, I took 2 years of Japanese, 1 year of Spanish and about 5 months learning a bit of Hawaiian. My knowledge in Japanese and Spanish pretty much is limited, though, I think I’m okay-ish with Hawaiian

I’m so envious! I wish I knew another language but I’m only monolingual I would probably try to learn Spanish or a East Asian language (I can’t decide between Korean, Japanese, etc )

It's a bit like galician I suppose, with less people speaking it in favour of castellano.

Welsh is a lot older than English as well, but unfortunately it's what people label as a dying language because not a lot of people in Wales speak it much anymore, and I gotta say I agree!

I always thought welsh would sound like english because well yeah. But it's nothing like it!

I’m bilingual, with Welsh being my first language and English being my second. I still speak a welsh, but funnily enough English has become my primary language, I only really speak Welsh with my family anymore, so it’s becoming less and less! I’d love to learn another language though!
