Getting Published - Comments

I was published a few months ago. The company's editor actually found me on another writing site. I didn't have to do much, other than send my manuscript to the editor, and she took care of the formatting and editing.

I always wondered that too. I always thought nowadays you build your own following and then the publishers start to seek you out (or that’s how it feels). But idk. Keep writing though. You never know when you’ll find out how you get your foot in the door. So it’s best to be prepared regardlwss with a body of work!

One thing you can look into short term are writing/literary journals. You can look them up online. Some pay the authors and some don’t. The really good ones are hard to get into, but you can also look them up based on the kind of work they like.
