Yup. I thought it was a girl at first because of the song I was listening to..I closed the page so I can't remember, and it starts off with a girl saying something. Then BJ started singing and i was like "whaaaat" but it makes more sense now that I'm not like crazy hyper xD

    haha..really?
    jeeze...thats so him.
he hasa knack for changing his voice in side projects. Just listen to Pinhead, he changes his voice so damn much. But there are certain things that he cant change, like certain aspects of his voice and you can definitely pick that out...especially in Mother Mary.

and Ruby Room sounds like a fusion between Hitchin A Ride and Supermodel Robots.

Yeah it does. If they go back to that style, I may rediscover my love for them.

I think they're uber talented..I just..hate...hearing the same song every five minutes xD

    Yeah..
I'm thinking more like a Warning type album, cept deeper, more though prevoking lyrics.
    if that makes sense..

    I hope so.

I liked AI when it was released but...I can't listen to it anymore.
Literally too, I lent it to my aunt and someone stole it from her car =\

they're not. they already said they aren't.
its the end of the American Idiot era is what I'd say...
I'm thinking this next album might be more personal...

Sadly everyone they targerted wasn't old enough to vote. That's what sucks. It did get people to think, just not the right age group. Now it's too late, he's out of office next year. Which is why I'm hoping they take a new direction because it'd be weird to release an album bashing Bush when he's out anyway.

don't worry, I understand. all too well. took me a little bit to listen to the singles again. but the album as a whole is a work of art.
at the time there wasnt really anyone doing it on a grand scale is what I meant to say.

Look at it this way. How many people listened to Rock Against Bush and got the message and how many people listened to American Idiot and got the message?

They just wanted to get their point across on a large scale and I believe they succeeded, maybe not at getting Bush out of office but of getting people to think, yes.

There's also how many albums called "Rock Against Bush"
GD were brave but they weren't the only band to do it.
I like a few songs but..it was overplayed and I tend to stray away from mainstream music when it gets to the point I cringe when the song is played.
I'd go to work and hear whatever song 50 times during my shift (not lying)
and come home and hear it on the tv, go online and hear it somehow.
    It got tiring.

technically, when the album came out at the time it did it was above and beyond daring. It came out at a time when if you said anything derogatory against the Bush administration you'd be censored, boycotted, etc etc.
I love the album because of the story. It's a really great story and lyrically, its some of the best work the guys have done.

Yeah, I pretty much do things the same as Billie. If I'm stuck I move on to something else and go back to it with a renewed fire.
We just have to be patient is all. The guys know how much we love them and how much we need this album and they are working to make it as good as they can.
They'd rather have us wait for something incredible than something half-ass. Y'know?
