I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I think that watching a loved one slowly deteriorate infront of you is one of the most painful things to bear witness to. Remember that it is okay to cry; its the most effective ways of dealing with grief, IMO. I wouldn't let myself cry when my grandparents die and it didn't help me get over it quicker at all.
