I think a real friend's somebody who's there to listen to you, to cheer you up when you're down, who still cares no matter what and who's just generally there for you. I think you did the right thing, it must have been a hard thing to deal with =/ I haven't really had the same experience as you, but I've lost friends over similar things. Maybe in a time like this, it'll make you realise who your true friends are and that your 'best friend' doesn't deserve you x
