Twilight is a series that is good, but waaaaaaaay overrated. Don't believe people when they say you'll want to bow down and worship it.

    Define Normal is good.
If you like Sci-Fi, Michael Chricton is a good author.
Eoin Colfer's books are usually good, as well.

    Anything by Neal Shusterman :]
    Some books he wrote:
Downsiders- Science Fiction about a complete society that exhists under New York City. One boy goes "topside" and meets a girl there, and they fall in love, but can't be together, since it's forbidden for him, and no one topside knows about the downside. A nice read.

The Dark Side of Nowhere- Science Fiction about a town where the neighbors didn't actually move there conventionally. You find out more, so I don't want to spoil it, but the main character, a boy, finds out more and more about his "ancestors" and looks in to the recent death of one of his friends who supposedly died of an appendicitis.

Full Tilt- Fiction about a boy who's past is pretty surprising and full of fear- a little bit like his future. He and his friends- including his younger, rebellious brother- visit a theme park one night, only to learn that the rides are nothing like how they seem. Once you enter, you have until dawn to ride a set number of rides- and survive- or you're stuck in the park forever. A great story, one that really resolves in the end.

The Schwa Was Here- About a boy who meets a boy from his school, nicknamed "The Schwa", and finds more and more about this mysterious boy- other than the fact that the Schwa has an obvious ability to "go invisible"- or at least to most people he is. When he shows up in a room, most people completely miss him and never notice he's there, and sometimes when he "sneaks up on you" he's really been there the whole time. The whole "wallflower" idea taken to a new level. A very surprising, sometimes downright depressing story.

Everlost- A good perception of "purgatory" or, the world where people go who don't go to Heaven, yet don't go to Hell. The two main characters, who've never met, die in the same car accident, and meet a small boy, Leaf. Leaf explains to them how he's been there for so long, and never left his "forest." Things in Everlost are carried over when they "die" or are destroyed, when they are loved and genuinely cared for very much. The two, not happy with Leaf's desire to stay in one place and ignore everything else- including the chance at leaving Everlost. They set out on a journey to get home, facing monsters- both obvious, and very discreet.

The Twilight series is awesome, yeah.

You HAVE to read The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. That book changed my life.

My Sisters Keeper and Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult...In fact, anything by Jodi Picoult is amazing.
