They've stopped me from cutting countless times. They've also inspired me to consider telling my mom... stuff. I haven't, yet, but I still might.

My Chemical Romance changed my life by showing me that suicide is not the way. They showed me that I have a problem, and I'm working on solving it. They showed me life is hard, and I have to try my best and keep on going.
I first knew MCR when my mother found the song, "Teenagers" and thought it was cute. When she played the song for me the first time, I said "EW! Why are you listening to them?", and walked away like I didn't like them. Secretly, I listened to that song over and over again, and discovered the rest of their music. About one week after, I discovered who they were as people.
Gerard Way is the guy who is creative, cute, and funny, but he has also screwed up. He, like the rest of us fans, has many flaws. But the flaws are what makes him and us human. I think he still messes up every once in a while, but no matter what he does he will always be my hero. The one to show me the way out when I have nobody left.
His brother, Mikey Way, is almost the same, but is much more relaxed and quiet. Mikey showed me that you have to let yourself go to do what you love, and let nothing about you step in front of you. You have to keep clearing the path and continuing with what you love.
Frank Iero has taught me to love everyone for who they are on the inside. That there is much more to a person than what you see at school, or at work. People hide so much. At the same time, he taught me I can be all-out crazy and still be a good person.
Ray Toro showed me that if I work hard, I can get what I want. Ray is such a kind person. Anything that is bad about a person he ignores, because he taught me there is nothing bad about a person. Sure, people mess up, but they can also be some of the best people you meet.
Bob Bryar showed me that if I put myself out there, and just try, I too can accomplish big things. That I can be whoever I want to be without being afraid.
All five of these men are such inspirations, my heroes. They are the reason I know how to live.
