I went to MCR with my ex boyfriend it wasn't so bad.

Tell you what- it might make you feel a bit better if you accept his offer...
but, if you have the money, you pay for food and drinks the whole time.
You wouldn't be quite even, but it would make it look more like an even thing than just him spending his money.
