I don't really think it's the religion. The people just seem crazy. My grandma is like that. I really want to get my lip pierced. She says that it's the devil's work to make someone pierce something other than ears and that she'll disown me if I do it. My mom doesn't really care if I get one and thinks that my grandma is just taking it way too far.
I have to agree with electricgirls. It's the people, not the religion. There are different branches of Christianity. They have different beliefs, but they still beleive in the same God. You're stereotyping the whole religion when it's just those people.
I'm a Christian and I don't see whats wrong with dying your hair. And really, God made people with curly hair so obviously he doesn't have a problem with it.
