I think it all depends on how a person express it. I mean, people can't help the way they feel, but if a person acts on it then that's a different story. A person can be homophobic or racists or any other type of prejudice, but as long as he/she doesn't going around bashing others then, whatever, it's their opinion. I think that for most people, it's more of a problem with the act of hate and not the thoughts.
I know people who think that being homosexual is wrong but they still treat homosexuals with the respect they deserve.
It's a bit hypocritical to sit there and lolh8te on people just because they hate a certain type of person. Hate what they do, not them...blahblahblah.
I like your point. Although I will say that people can grow to be more open minded. We are the superior species for a reason, right? Capable of chance and all.
It's not immature. You sound like a very diplomatic person and that is very good. So don't change, open-minded is good. Cause the world doesn't need anymore hate hon. Well done!
Everyone's a little bit racist or homophobic at times...everyone enjoys a tasteless joke now and again.
But yeah, hating people who are prejudice is a pretty hypocritical sort of thing. But its one thing to have a different opinion or different values, and another to actually threaten and hurt people.
I'm not gonna lie and say it doesn't bug me at times--because it does. Especially when people become violent or just plain fucking rude about it...or when it involves Harry Potter.
OMG LYK U TTLY SUK HOMOPHOBIA IZ GAY!!!!!11!!!ONEONE!!!
Nah. It's the more open-minded thing to do, I think. Hate the sin, love the sinner, you know? (Even though I'm not religious whatsoever, and I don't think opinions are a sin--so I guess it could be phrased as "Don't hate the person, hate the things they do" for me.) Props for posting this. :)
