It's kind of weird that people ask people if they're goth. It seems like it doesn't really matter what you tell them -- their opinions are pretty much set at the start.

Kids my brother hangs out with ask me that when I go outside I try to ignore it I don't like being labled either. People aren't perfect though and sometimes what people say whats they are thinking can be offensive. When I say the offensive thing I mean by when people ask you if your goth.

Ignoring really is the best thing to do, just let people be the way they want to be. Be as nice as you can to them even if you do sometimes get offended. I'm not saying you don't do these things because I don't know you I'm just saying it to try to give some advice.

Yeah, I agree with alfred e. neuman. You don't need to be athiest to be called gothic. People can't look at you and know you're religion -- well, for most religions, anyways. I know plenty of goths who are Christian.

    Plus, about the color pink?

My friend Max is gothic, and his favorite color is pink. He likes it much more than he does black, believe it or not. It's not even that he wears black that makes people think he's goth; it's the style of his clothes and whatnot.

I like labels, though...I never met someone who was being a bitch to me for dressing like I do. I get bitched at more online than in person.

Being goth doesn't immediately make you an athiest, you know. You can be goth and christian. I know people who are.

Think of it this way; at least they're not calling you emo. =P
