What do you do when your best friend doesn’t make the effort anymore?

I just got off the phone with my best friend of 6 years, I called her to ask whether she wanted to come over to my house today since I was home alone and bored, but she was busy with her other 2 friends. Yet again. It seems she only has time for them these days, when I’m supposed to be her best friend. Ok, we don’t go to the same school anymore, we went to Primary school together, and went off to different high schools but we still managed to stay friends then.

But she’s been slipping away from me these past 6 months, now, I have to make the effort to call her, text her. Now I have to ask her if she wants to meet me, she never calls me, or texts me, asks me if I wanna go out. She hasn’t done that in well over a year now. I call her every week without fail, ask her if she wants to do something, she says she’s already busy with her other friends. She always puts them before me, always :(

And the thing is, I would talk to her about it, but I’m so scared of making her feel bad, ‘cos she’s such a fragile girl and I don’t wanna hurt her. This has been making me so upset now, I never thought this would happen between us. I barely know her anymore ::cry:
