Ayuda con estudiando espanol

For those who don't speak spanish. Or I totally wrote that wrong, which is a huge possiblity but it should translate to, help with studying spanish. This year I'm taking spanish 2. Last year I had trouble getting good grades in spanish. I study so hard. Hours at a time, and always got a C. I plan to take spanish for all four years of high school, because the college I want to go to, you have to take the test in the foreign language you took. But anyway, I need a good way to study, writing the words over and over again isn't helping and neither is notecards. You don't have to take spanish to help me, you could took any other language, but any tips please! I have a quiz tomorrow, and I'm pretty much dead!
