I'm getting a typewriter!

I realise this might sound really boring for some of you but I'm getting a typewriter - as a sort of early birthday present. It's a vintage typewriter too and it's absolutely gorgeous.

I hope I'm not the only thirteen year old who thinks that typewriters are gorgeous and amazing.

The main reason I wanted a typewriter was because I always get really distracted when I'm writing on my laptop - I can't bring myself to disconnect my internet and always check on my mibba/facebook/youtube/twitter/tumblr/email and end up getting barely any work done. So I figure that if my make the thing that I write with and my laptop two separate things then I'm less likely to get distracted.Plus I'm pretty sure vintage typewriters have some sort of indie cred.

I'm getting it off eBay and I really hope no one buys it or I'm going tobitch slap someone be really annoyed because it's the nicest working typewriter on there that isn't ridiculously expensive and my mum can't order it for me till next week.
