Help Needed/Accounting/College

I am going to be going to a college close to home, and I finally have decided that I want to go into college for accounting. Thing is, there are so many branches of accounting that I have no idea where to start.

I have been doing research on the internet but I haven't been able to really find a list of them.

Think you guys could help me :) I have no idea about college and I am completely lost. I just know that my teacher told me that I would be good at accounting and that I should go into it. So I've decided that I am.
