Just want kind of like... I guess a mini survey?
What do you guys think of chapters that usually consist of usually under 1,000 words, sometimes less then 750 or 500?
I feel like I don't really like short chapters because they usually don't add much. To me it occasionally feels like an author isn't trying enough to get the words out or stretch it out. Everything seems to move to fast. But I guess that's one persons opinion.
I guess some people can't and I do admit some stories are better off short because they're meant to be quick little blurbs but for a lot of stories it makes me lose interest fairly quickly and I feel so off-put if the word count on a story is too low and the amount of chapters is too high.
But I could also be a word count elitist.. lol
