Sail by James Patterson, Howard Roughan

Sail tells of a man (Peter) who ships his wife and step-children off on a sailing voyage to try and reunite his new family after the death of the children's real father. However, once the boat disappears during a wild storm and the family are presumed dead, was it really just a freak accident of nature, or is there more to Peter than meets the eye?
