The Chrysalids by John Wyndham

This book takes place after a nuclear holocaust of some sort. The people who have managed to re-build there lives believe strongly that if your body image is abnormal (e.i. six toes, longer limbs then normal people, more then four limbs) that you are in league with the devil, and that you have no soul at all.
