It all starts with the exploration ship, Streaker, leaving for a safe voyage to check up what was expected to be safe details. It ends up in the middle of a conflagration that had been brewing for only God knows how long.
The crew is soon tested to the limit, and well beyond what they had been expected to manage. Only the skillful piloting, and a few tricks save the ship from utter doom.
After a near escape from an ambushtrap, the ship is on the run, and all but on its own as it flees from one trap after the next.
