Breakneck by Erica Spindler

Police detectives Mary Catherine "M.C." Riggio and Kitt Lundergren are assigned to a homicide of a college student ***ed in his bed. The boy has a clean record and the homicide seems like a small case. Then, more people start dying and each death becomes even closer to home for M.C. Soon the detectives realize that these aren't ordinary homicides and that they aren't dealing with an ordinary killer, but a killer named Breakneck who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
