Draki, descendants of dragons and able to manifest into human form, are being hunted. Their rare skin, blood and abilities are wanted throughout the world but only a select few humans even know of them. Out of those humans, none of them know that they take on human form. The lone fire-breather of her pride, Jacinda is somewhat of a prized commodity, but when she breaks one of the pride's biggest rules--flying in daylight--the pride's Alpha is prepared to punish her. In an attempt to save them, Jacinda's mother sneaks both Jacinda and her twin sister, Tamra, out of the pride and to a new town. This town, in the middle of a desert, seems to want to suppress and extinguish Jacinda's Draki and only a boy, Will, seems to ignite her inner Draki flame once more.
