After his parents' divorce, and his mom's quickly formed relationship with Vinne's gym teacher, his family moves from the bustling city of Queens to the suburbs of Long Island. There he discovers his new next door neighbor, Patsy, his school's popular girl. Vinnie is immediately attracted to her and after acquiring her number in the boy's locker room, gives her an anonymous (and slightly rude) phone call. This sets off a chain of clandestine, midnight conversations between the two where they learn more and more about each other and themselves.
