Puberty Blues is an Australian novel based in the seventies. The novel follows two girls Sue and Debbie. Two young teens growing up in a time where sex, drugs and skipping school were considered the coolest thing ever. The short novel follows the two girls through their schooling, through their first love, first time and the messy aftermaths and consequences. Lette and Carey's novel is a famous cult classic having been produced into a movie and later a TV show.
