Kyle suggested hanging out in the shed after eating pancakes with his best friend one morning and not wanting to go back inside. From there, he can't remember anything; he can't remember the most important scene. When he is put on probation that'll last until he is eighteen, Kyle starts writing and rewriting the scene—the day of Jason's death—repeatedly in the style of his favorite directors to help him remember, but regardless of the style, he can't get it right. Until he can, he only has one question plaguing his mind: Did he mean to kill his best friend?
