Continuing in The Legend of Drizzt series with the third and final book of The Dark Elf Trilogy, Drizzt tries to find his place among the humans on the surface after living forty years in the ruthless Underdark. Instead of finding the acceptance he hopes for, he's met with adversity because of his well-known and hated race—everywhere he goes, Drizzt feels the social stigma that comes from being associated with his loathsome kin. He is blamed when a family that he watches over is massacred and for that, one human in particular has a real serious problem with the dark elf.
