What the Dead Know by Larua Lippman

After a hit and run, a police officer runs into the culprit; a woman claiming to be Heather Bethany, a girl that had gone missing with her sister, Sunny, thirty years prior. Once this claim is made, Detectives Kevin Infante, Harold Lenhardt, Gloria Bustamante, Nancy Porter, and Kay Sullivan must figure out whether or not the claims are true. During the initial story, the reader also gets a glimpse into the past with Heather and her sister Sunny, as well as their family before and after the kidnapping of the sisters. Is Heather who she says she is, or is she spinning some wild tale to get out of the hit and run charges?
