    Personally, I really dislike metal.
What kind? Shifty Metal's.. pretty broad.
Honestly, just metal in general. I just don't like it. I never have. :tehe:
:lmfao I agree with you totally!

There are maybe three exceptions to that for me. And HIM doesn't count, imo, because they're 'love metal' and only came up with that term themeselves. :hand: I love Ville, but they're not metal to me.

That new kind of emo-y pop sound for bands. I know it's pretty much the most popular genre on Mibba, but I just really can't stand it. The lyrics all sound the same, they all wear the same frigging clothes and hairstyle and have the same sounding riffs. Some songs are okay, I guess. But seriously. I've tried to tolerate it and I just can't do it.

^ Same here. There's at least one artist in every other genre (yes, that means rap, country and techno) that I enjoy. This new type of rock I just can't stand.

HIM is like softcore/alternative metal...Similar the Black Sabbath in a way. Therefore you do like metal. Just because it's not metal to you doesn't mean it isn't. It's all about the sound with metal.

Metal really is a big topic to say you don't like any of it except for possible three bands. Metal spans from Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, KISS, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, Metallic, Slayer, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, KoRn, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, System of a Down, Sixx:A.M, the Misfits, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Underoath, Atreyu, From First to Last, Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch Engage, and many many more. I'm just too lazy to keep going.
What I'm saying is, metal is a really big genre. As you can tell, metal has changed over the years. Cool if you hate it, but there are probably more bands you like that are considered some type of metal.

Unlike some of you, I actually like scream-o. :tehe:
But that's not what this topic is about.

I personally cannot stand country music, unless it's got a rock undertone; Southern rock.
    Like Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I also don't prefer rap music.

Although, I think there are exceptions.
I don't define my music taste by genre, I define it by the artists I listen to.
I just happen to dislike most country artists. :cute:

I wanted to say that to Comedically Tragic, but I didn't know how to without sounding rude. :lmfao
But I totally agree. Metal is too broad to say that you hate it. I mean, heaps of Metal bands to covers and ballads and stuff like that too. Forgive me for using Metallica, horrible example I know, but Nothing Else Matters. I don't know who can't like that song. It's so inspiring. In Love But this isn't an I-Love-Metallica thread. :XD

There aren't really.. many genres I hate. I don't even think I hate a genre. I don't really listen to Pop, but I do find Katy Perry ridiculously catchy. :shifty

I don't listen to Rap or R&B, ever really. Not to say that I don't enjoy some songs in the genres though. It just wouldn't be my first listening choice. -shrug- :coffee:

I can't stand most rap or country. Unless it's Underoath, I can't listen to that kind of hardcore/metal where the screaming sounds like someone barfing.
