My dog Ringo died in November of last year. Gah, that was an awful day.

He was a Catahoula Cur Dog, which I think are the most gorgeous, loving dogs in the entire world. I loved that puppy so much. We've had five Catahoulas over the years, but Pongo, and my Ringo were my favorites. They were so protective of me and my little brothers. Catahoulas are working dogs (bred to herd pigs and cows), so they helped out on our farm.

We're getting a Catahoula puppy when we move, though. We were going to get one sooner, but my dad just doesn't think it's fair to have a dog that likes to run around cooped up in a Subdivision.

My uncle's dog Maddie died last night. She meant a lot to me because when I was younger I had another dog, Kasper, and him and her were best buddies. I'd always be out in the yard playing with the both of them so when Kasper died I grew even more attached to Maddie.

Maddie has been in my life for fifteen and a half years, which is a long life for a big dog (she was a ridgeback). I'm going to miss her heaps.

My dog, Midnight died in September. I can't remember what year, but I know I was about 10 years old.

I remember how she use to lay with me in my bed and push my head off the pillow.

I remermber how she would not 'sit' nor 'roll over'.

I remember how we could never feed her pills to her. So, we'd stick them in oatmeal cookies.

And at my aunt Letz' house, she'd jump into the giant water fountain in front of her house.

I miss that tiny piece of fur. :con:

My hamster just died Cry It was my fault for leaving him on his ball for too long.

He used to fall asleep in my lap and run wild over my bed... I always laughed at the way he ate because he got on his head to bite stuff... I'll miss you Ragamuffin. And I'm sorry for killing you; I should have remembered that you were in the ball... I'm sorry.

Cry My dog died this morning. Cry
We've had her since I was three, so there's lots of memories we've had with her.
I remember my mom saying that she wanted a "small lap dog" for her birthday, and dad came back with her. A boxer. :tehe: She's the most lovable dog ever. Cry

My black lab Katie died on July 9th. She was 13 years old and I think she had cancer. She started having seizures, so my family decided the most humane thing to do was put her to sleep. I'm glad she's not suffering anymore, but I miss her.

Our other pets miss her, too. Our chocolate lab Allie looks around the house for her all the time. My cat Hammie fell asleep on Katie's collar last night.

We had Katie for as long as we've had my little brother, and there are a lot of good memories. I remember how she would sleep in my bed at night and push me out of the way to make room for herself, how happy she was when we got home after going out, and playing fetch with her for hours. At my camp, she was the fastest of the seven dogs there.

One of my dog's Beowulf died in March of 2005. One day he was out playing around like he usually did, and then the next day I went out to play with him, and he wasn't as enthusiastic. The days went by, and he soon didn't have an appetite, or want to drink anything. I suspect it was Parvo, but I'm not sure.
Most of the dogs I've had that have died of Parvo didn't act like that, though.
I miss him very much. Cry

my old cat sam-sam saved my life.

i was little, but old enough to walk, but still young enough that i had bottles and diapers. and it was really dark outside. My dad was in the garage drinking, and my sister was probably sleeping. My mom was inside, watching television. Well, all of a sudden my cat sam-sam started freaking out and running from the big window to her and over and over. So she got up and she walked over to the window, and there I was walking down the middle of the road in a diaper with a bottle hanging out of my mouth.

I reckon I was young when she died / we got rid of her cos i don't remember it.

When I got my first cockatiel, I was like "OMG BIRDY! :brightside:" and tried to hold him in my hand, and he bit me. It hurt so much! Smiley I called him Pinchy. :tehe: He starved to death because I didn't change his feed, because I thought it was full, when really, it was just the shells. -Hits self- I was like twelve, so... :shifty

Wah, it's just too sad to even think about it. Cry

My two beloved parakeets died last year.
And what breaks my heart is that I wasn't there to say goodbye.
They were my personal bestfriends, but now *sniff* they're gone.

I don't think I could ever get another pet.
It's too hard to deal with their departures !

Tom-Tom and Bootsy passed away a coupld of years ago. They were 6 months older than me and were getting progressively sick. My dad snuck them off and had them put to sleep. I still resent him for it because I never got to say good-bye.

I'm almost in tears thinking about it.

My Golden Retriever Pango passed away in November 2007 and I still missed him :(

I remember how he used to roll around on the carpet to try and scratch his back and strech and I'd roll on the carpet along side of him... and the jingling of the metal dogtags on his collar. I miss the little woof he used to make when he was tired, and how when he had to go outside to do his business he'd walk backwards toward the sidedoor...

I wear his dogtags around my neck now, the jingling comforts me alot

My hamster died almost a year ago. I had taken him in from a bad home that didn't do anything at ALL for him. He was so little and cute and i loved him to death. I had this little toy fire truck that had a ladder on it and he would climb to the top and i would push him around on it. He was the best little Hammy i have ever had. Though i have a new hamster, Fuego, i still miss my little Buddy. We burried him in the back yard and some times i sneak away just to go say hi to him. I really badly miss him. The girl i took him from goes to my school and when i told her what happened she said ' You animal killer! Why would you kill him like that!' i dont think she knew that hamsters dont live very long, like 3 years if lucky, Buddy was about 4 years old.

My cat Billy died in April, I still miss him even though we have new kittens now :(
He was such a funny cat, he'd always greet us whenever we got home, meowing his head off. He was friendly to absolutely everyone. He was such a sweety and I'm always thinking about him. The new cats look a bit like him aswell which is nice. The sad part is we don't know how he died, I'm the one that found him :(

My first pet ever was a hamster. We got him for half price at Petco because no one wanted him.
So he was a little chubby. So what? People are so cruel.
All the other hamsters were mean. But this one wasn't.
He never bit me. He never escaped. He was perfect.
He died after 3 years. I was crushed. I loved that hamster so much.

I had a little 18 pound beagle/dachsaund mix die about a year ago. He was black and what looked like a white giraffe on the back of his neck. My little Princey. In Love
Prince was my buddy, and I loved the little guy to death. But he irritated me to no end sometimes. Prince was naturally born a rabbit dog, and that's actually what got him killed was chasing rabbits across the road. I used to have a bunny. I left the cage open once though. My bunny started running and Princey killed my bunny. ): Bad Princey. He thought he was being good though, killing bunnies...

I had a dog called Rogue who was the biggest pain in the arse. He'd bark all the time and generally be an idiot but he was so fun to play with. When he was a puppy he was freaking adorable but then he got older and dumber... He was meant to be a sheep dog but never took to the training. Instead he did the worst thing a farm dog could do and started killing lambs. We had to put him down. I had quite the bittersweet relationship with that little bugger but I saved his life so many times.
