Techies/set crew/sound crew. Whenever I'm in a production, they're treated like shit by a lot of the actors, as if they're less than the people who actually perform. But they are often some of the most important people in a show. .___.

Clap I completely agree! I worked as a deckhand/costumer/prop manager's bitch for "Romeo & Juliet" and the actors treated me like I was nothing. It didn't matter that I was involved in most of the scene changes, costume changes, and had most of the props because the prop manager was too busy flirting with every guy on the cast and crew! I was still nothing in their eyes! Ranting

I agree with Bob Dylan. Even when he was well-known in his prime, he still got a lot of insults because of his voice. Not many people can look past his voice enough to realize his talents as a songwriter (and the fact that he can play harmonica and guitar at the same time...).

The New York Dolls. I've never met one person that knows who they are. Not even my parents.

David Johansen as a singer. He's amazing.

Rudy Sarzo. He's been with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Dio. But, I've never ever (not even online) come across someone who knows who he is. I've met him in person. He's a f*cking sweetie. And his broken English is adorable.

Krist of Nirvana. Most people are so obsessed and in love with Dave and Kurt that they hardly know who Krist is. I've met him before, too. He's super funny and extremely nice. I didn't ask him about Nirvana or Kurt or Dave, and he said I was one of the first fans that actually wanted to talk to him about him and not about Nirvana.

Brian May of Queen, and not just as a musician. He's an author and a scientist and a teacher. He's incredibly talented in everything he does. I've met him, too. He's just so smart. You can just tell by listening to him speak and how the words are arranged.

Tracii Guns is also hugely underrated, in my opinion. I was never a huge fan of his personality, because in the media he comes off as a huge dick, but I met him in June and he's really anything but. Tracii and I talked about the New York Dolls and his love for Johnny Thunders. He had his son Jagger with him, he's adorable. In Love

Billy Idol, absolutely. He was super big with his hit Rebel Yell, but then it all seemed to die down. He's very charming and has incredible vocals. I met him, too. All he wanted to talk about was motorcycles, but I know next to nothing about them..but, he gave me like a Motorcycle 101 lecture. lmfao I told him it's been on my bucket list forever to meet him, and he said "You're too young to have a bucket list, darling." He called me darling. I just about died. Smiley

I know about these two Shifty XD Not a whole lot about them, but some. But I agree, definitely very underrated.

Most singer/songwriters. Like Maria Mena, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson. I've only met three people who actually know who any of these people are, or know more songs than the ones from movies or commercials.

Agreed so hard on Bob Dylan. I absolutely fucking love Bob Dylan; nothing puts a smile on my face as quickly as the song All I Want to Do. And one thing I love about Dylan is that his voice isn't great (though I honestly do love his voice), yet his music is still phenomenal -- his multi-instrumentalim, his sublime lyrics, and the soul, passion, intelligence, and humor he puts in to his lyrics. I think he's absolutely not appreciate enough, especially now, and I'm always so shocked by how many people my age have no idea who he is (like wtf?!).

And the Dolls - lovelovelove. By far my favorite punk band, every thing about them. They just make me happy. xD

On a similar note - The Grateful Dead. That's really all I have to say because everything about them is underrated. And, like with Bob Dylan, I'm kind of appalled by how few people in my age group know who they are. :/
