I've only worn flip flops to one concert. It was outside, and they wouldn't let us mosh anyways. But I would never wear them in an actual pit or anything like that.

Why would you wear flip flops to a concert? Chances are they are going to get lost if you have standing tickets.

aha, I wear steel-toed boots or really chunky combat boots to concerts. I wouldn't wear flip flops, because with my luck, I'd get stepped on. As is, I get stepped on daily.

At my last concert, my friend wore those wierd sandals without backs, and she lost both her shoes in the crowd. We literally crawled around looking for them. XD Jesus that hurt...

I wore my Rainbows to a Jack's Mannequin show this summer and had no problem, but then again, J's M is more mellow, so I think it really depends on the artist you're going to see.

I don't see wearing flip flops to a show as that big a deal. Now, I wouldn't wear them to a bigger show that I knew was going to be more chaotic, but I think some of the comments on here saying you should never wear flip flops to concerts are kind of absurd.

Honestly, I think it would be kind of ridiculous to not wear flip-flops at something like an outdoor music festival in the middle of summer. I wouldn't want my feet to be all hot, nasty, and sweaty in sneakers File I just think it depends on the situation; there's no correct blanket answer.

If we're talking about going to any show that involves some 'dancing', headbanging, or screaming, all I have to say is:

    Do you want to die?

No, seriously. I'm cringing at the simple thought right now - what if your toe rips off or something...

I went to Uproar Festival today.
And so many people were in the pit (I was against the barrier) with flip flops. Dx

Um yeah I would say no because if you get stomped on it's going to hurt a hell of a lot more.

I've worn my Rainbows to every concert I've been to in the past six years. I've never had a problem with it. At all.

The last few concerts I've been to have included Big Time Rush, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Drake, and Jack's Mannequin, so there weren't really any mosh pits or anything to be concerned about. Not all music is rock, not all concerts involve bodily harm, so there's no way anyone can say "OH NO, you should NEVER wear flip-flops to a concert." That's ridiculous Facepalm

Unless it was a festival type concert where I wasn't planning on pushing toward the stage and dancing, absolutely not. I generally wear my work shoes, actually.

I once went to a concert in wedges.
    Never. Again.

When I go to concerts from now on, I'm going to wear either my converses or Sparry's

I don't understand why one would ever think it would be a good idea to wear flip flops to a concert. Even if you've got seats, you're still going to be up and partying! Someone could definitely step on your toes then. That, and it's just gross. OMG NO!

    No.
    Just.
Why would you be that silly? Luckily, most -- if not all -- venues in Melbourne (at least) have banned thongs / flip flops (whatever you want to call them).

    @ sheepcat;
    Thank god for Melbourne XD

I would for the comfort level but not for the practicality. With everyone having the potential to step on your feet and god, what if you're in mosh and you wear thongs? Death.

I think the only places that wouldn't have that rule would be Rod Laver and such, where they have seating, but I'm not sure if they have a dress code that bans them. XD

That's another for this: I wouldn't see an issue if it is assigned seating at the concert. But definitely not for general standing.

I think it would be OK if you were in the stands, where you can sit down whenever. Buuuut if you're going to be on the floor, along with many others, then no, definitely not.

I suppose it depends on the concert / where you're placed at the venue, but most of the time, I see it as a huge no-no. You might as well just go barefoot because you're going to get just as hurt or lose them anyway and it's going to suck all the same. Those who wear sandals or wedges or thongs or flip-flops or what have you to certain concerts (Warped, for example, oh dear God I admire your strength and bravery. If you're that much of a warrior, you should be rewarded. I saw so many abandoned flip-flops at Warped, man. It was all bad.

Sitting is cool, go out and have fun in all your flip-flopped glory. But standing and moshing and dancing within the crowd, I'd say nah.
