All through the time I was reading Sunshine by Robin McKinley I couldn't tell if I loved it or hated it. I would recommend people to read it, but I felt like for 5 pages I couldn't stop reading, for the next 5 I hated it, and then the next 5 I couldn't stop reading again. I think some of the description was too long and tedious.

Dead And Gone, by Charlaine Harris.

There wasn't much action until near the end and it took me months to get through it, whereas it usually doesn't take me long to finish a book. So I'm still not sure if I like it or dislike it.

    Beloved -- Toni Morrison.

It was praised as the best literary work in the past 25 years, but I can't tell whether or not it's really worth that title. Yes, it's great literature, but...I didn't appreciate it as much as my teacher said I would.

The Wake Series by Lisa McMann.
It has a great plot and idea, but the writing style bugged me the entire time.

Song of Sussanah by Stephen King

Initially, I love it because its part of my favourite book series. I just don't like the title character - at all. I love her husband and her companions, but not her. I do like the plot though of her having another being in her. She just bores me though.

The only times I ever liked her was when she was being crazy in the second book XD

Creature by John Saul. I loved the plot and the world and everything, but the second part of the book was just... meh. All the suspense just died down. Plus it was really predictable.

The Virgin Suicides I have always debated about. I really can't decide if I like it or not.

The Homing by John Saul, err I don't know it seems very predictable but I love the whole creepy bees thing.

Journey Into Darkness by Michael Chiapetta. I don't remember absorbing any word in that novel while I was reading it, but I know the story and it seems pretty intriguing. I don't know if I should like it because it's not Kane's real biography (thank goodness) or if I shouldn't like it because it's not Kane's real biography.

Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. Shifty. I mean, it was like Twilight pornography, basically. The TV show is alright, and the book itself was a bit iffy, but that's about it. I'm not sure if I liked it or not.

The entire Series of Unfortunate Events. I'm stuck. I mean, it was a good idea and his writing is pretty unique, but the ending stunk on ice. It sucked so bad I was debating whether or not to write my own ending and send it to him. XD. It was such a general fail and it brought the whole series down. And now I read them again, it's like he's patronising me. I think I'm too old to be still enjoying them now. Facepalm.

THIS. Twitch I love the series, but the ending was disappointing and there were a lot of loose ends he didn't tie up.

There is a "Fire" series of dragon books by Chris D'Lacey. I'm super divided on my feelings about each book in the series. I would really like to finish the series, but I go through alternate spells of relative interest and disinterest. My main problem is the writing. D'Lacey shows definite promise and seems to grow with each book, but on the whole is still quite childish in tone and amatuerish in delivery. Often he will completely kill the mood of a scene by throwing in poor description or unnecessary silliness from a character. Also, the character Lucy is supposed to be a liked, I think, but I find her irritating most of the time. She's also supposed to be like 12, but she acts less mature than my 9 year old cousin. File

Also, I have to say I have mixed feelings about 1984 by George Orwell. When I first read it, I hated it because I didn't like where the story went (that is all I'll say to avoid accidental spoilers.) Now, I think I should re-read it someday and that I kinda like it. What I like or at least respect about it is the message in it and Orwell's overal intent with it. Reading it again with that overall theme more in my mind than the actual story might make it a better experience.

I agree completely. I bet if McMann wrote it differently, it could have been an amazing series. But god damn, the way she writes...
I enjoyed the first two books, but I didn't bother finishing Gone.
