When I was 10 I think, my best friend and I got tired of her grandmother being a major grump, so we decided we were going to \"run away\" and walk to my grandmother\'s house, which is where my mother and siblings were. We started a campfire in the garage, made a pinky promise, swept the ashes out to the drive, and climbed out the window. She stole some of her mother\'s money and left a note on her mom\'s bed without telling me. We didn\'t bother wearing shoes, socks, or coats. We made it about five miles. Bought a chocolate muffin and can of rootbeer to share. Some guy followed us in his car for almost a mile, in the middle of the night; scared us half to death. She kept talking about how she knew kung fu (she didn\'t, and still doesn\'t) and would protect me. He called the cops. They showed up about the same time her mother did. My uncle was on his way (her mom called my mom and my mom, who didn\'t know my uncle was drunk, sent him to pick me up), but he drove his truck into a rain-made mud pond thing. I ended up sitting in the back of a police car for a few hours while my uncle stripped down to I don\'t even know what and tried to swim down and un-stick his truck. I didn\'t get in much trouble (after all, I was going home), but they made fun of me for about three years.

It\'s gone on far too long. I can\'t say I know much about it, but from what I do know, there\'s not much reason for it to still be going on. Everyone talks about how people there are terrible and deserve to die because they killed people here and celebrate our deaths, because they come into our country and kill us. But what are we doing to them? The exact same thing. It\'s hypocritical bullshit that\'s getting a lot of people killed for no good reason and it needs to end, preferably with as many lives still intact as possible.
